Head rightward once at the top of the stairs. You'll find a staircase leading to the north. When you're all set, head to the far, far eastern edge of the route. You have to intentionally go out of your way to have any such encounters. In this game, the Apricorns are stored within a special item called the Apricorn Case. However, in addition to that, Heart Gold & Soul Silver has added new functions for the apricorns. Just keep in mind that you can potentially get through Route 44 in its entirety without ever running into a wild Pokemon. Weepinbell and Lickitung are amongst the wild Pokemon in that patch of grass, so you may or may not want to catch them. Indeed, that grassy area is the only location where wild Pokemon can be fought on Route 44 (other than the aqueous Pokemon you can find in the water surrounding the grassy patch). An Ultra Ball can be found out in the open at the northeastern edge of the rectangular walkway that dominates this route And a Max Revive can be found on an isolated grassy patch at the very center of the route.
A Max Repel can be found near the western edge of the route, to the south of a thin treeline. And the lone level thirty Rhyhorn of Poke Maniac Zach can give you some trouble as well.Īs far as items are concerned, there are three total. Ace Trainer Allen has a Charmeleon and Magnemite, both of level twenty-nine. Psychic Phil has a level twenty-seven Natu and a level twenty-nine Kadabra. The trainers you fight en route are all pretty typical, though three of them have Pokemon parties of note. The route is rectangular in shape, and to see the whole thing, you'll need to walk around its entire perimeter. There are seven trainers to fight and a few items to acquire, but otherwise, you'll find very little of interest here. Route 44 is an extremely limited location. When you do, you'll find yourself on Route 44. Now that the executives of Team Rocket have been put in their place, you can walk to the east from Mahogany Town unabated. Remember the dude blocking your route eastward from Mahogany Town? Prior to taking on Team Rocket at Goldenrod City, you would have been stopped by him if you ever attempted to leave the town in an eastward direction. Use Fly to leave Goldenrod City, and head back to Mahogany Town. Team Rocket is no more, which for some arbitrary reason means that you can now access the conduit to the last unexplored location on this continent, Blackthorn City.
